Book the sitting you can stay alert for. The live British Council calendar lists current times. Do not treat 9am and 2pm as the only official pair.

If the calendar shows another hour, that hour is real. A blog pair is not. Write the booked time on paper and compare it with the confirmation email before you travel.

Pick the slot that protects the weakest skill

If writing or speaking is the leak, take the slot after you have eaten and can stay for the whole component. A tired afternoon is worse than a later week.

A morning slot does not raise a level. Alertness does not either, but a half-finished component does waste the fee. Stay for the whole skill you booked, then leave.

If you work nights, a 9am search result is a bad default. Book the first slot after you have slept, even if a blog still says morning is better. If speaking is the leak, do not book a slot that ends when you must leave for a shift. Finish the component, then leave.
