Keep or Switch After This Week's Bag

Tonight is this week's bag, not a P1 shopping guide. Empty it. Count spoken turns against worksheets. Then keep or switch.

A P1 bag still needs one spoken sentence

A keepable week still has one sentence the child said or wrote with a person. A stack of blanks is not that sentence.

Do not invent an MOE worksheet quota. Colouring is not a spoken turn.

A page of circling pictures with no spoken sentence still counts as a worksheet. A shared sentence the teacher wrote under the child's words counts as a turn.

If the bag has six colouring sheets and no marked sentence, the class sold paper, not speech.

Count this week's bag tonight

Empty the bag. Count worksheet pages. Count spoken or shared-writing turns the teacher marked. Switch if worksheets outnumber spoken turns two to one.

  1. Empty the bag onto the table.
  2. Count worksheet pages.
  3. Count marked spoken or shared-writing turns.
  4. Write the two numbers on the bag.

Do not count colouring as a spoken turn.

Eight worksheet pages and three marked sentences is a watch. Eight pages and one silent tick is a fail.

If the bag has more paper than spoken turns two weeks in a row, switch. One heavy week is a watch, not a verdict.

Keep or switch after the count

Keep if one marked sentence exists. Watch one more week if the count is close. Switch if two bags fail.

No fee claim. One heavy bag is a watch. Two failed bags close the class.

This is not the P1 working page

No. That page watches home signs after class. Tonight counts the bag. Primary School English may replace a silent class. Confirm live terms.
