How to review a timed O-Level English paper is a same-night job, not another sitting. Close the unused sections. Spend as many minutes reviewing as you spent writing. Do not open a second paper until this one is sorted

A long diary feels responsible and changes nothing. Circle the two most expensive miss types — the ones that cost the most marks, not the ones that annoy you.

• Write one next-paper rule for each pattern, short enough to fit on a sticky note.
• Examples that work: "underline the situational-writing purpose before I draft"; "quote before I infer"; "leave eight minutes for editing".
• Ignore one-off slips: a single spelling error is not a pattern.
• If more than two types look expensive, keep the two that also appeared on the previous paper.

When the next timed paper is allowed

Sit the next timed paper only after one untimed repair of the two patterns: one editing passage, one situational rewrite, or two comprehension items — whichever matches the log.
