Count Speaking Turns Before You Book

Tonight is a format choice, not a ranking. List the last five work days. Count how many times you spoke in English for more than one sentence. Then book a group or a private hour for four weeks, not both.

Count last week's real speaking turns

List the last five work days. Count how many times you spoke in English for more than one sentence. If you already speak often but freeze when interrupted, you need a group. If you almost never speak, or the next task is confidential, you need private.

Do not use a feeling of 'I am shy'. Shyness without a turn count will send you to the wrong room.

Book one format for four weeks

Group if you need interruption and peer examples. Private if you will bring one real email or meeting brief each week. Do not book both in the same week.

Format

Speaking turns

Best when

Small group

You speak, then hear another adult

You freeze when interrupted

Private

Almost all turns are yours

The brief is confidential or blank

iWorld Learning's Business English and Daily English pages currently list 6-8 learner groups and 1-to-1 lessons. Confirm live size. Omit fees and campus. No format promises fluency.

Match the live course page to the task

Business English currently lists meetings, presentations, negotiations and reporting. Daily English currently lists everyday talk and some workplace talk. Confirm live outlines. The format choice is separate from the register choice.

Do not treat both pages as the same hour. A group Daily English class will not become a negotiation hour because you paid more.

This is not the Sec 1 format page

No. The Sec 1 page chooses a teen class. Tonight is an adult work artefact.

If the learner is in Primary 6, use the P6 format page in this series. Do not borrow a secondary-school timetable for an office email.

FAQ

Online 1-to-1 still counts as private if you bring the artefact.

Does an online 1-to-1 lesson count as private?

Yes, if you bring the same work artefact. The format is the speaking turn, not the room.

Can I try a group for one week and switch?

Yes after four weeks, not after one hour. One hour is not a format test.
