A Silent Online Hour Is Not a Lesson

Tonight scores the online English hour. A spoken or typed sentence is a turn. A muted hour is a miss.

A camera light is not a turn

A green camera proves presence. English moves when the child says or writes a line.

The CCA clash page already pauses a timetable fight. Tonight does not ask whether the hour collided with choir. It asks whether anyone heard the child.

Do not invent a platform rule. Mute is an observation. It is not a diagnosis of ability.

Score tonight's hour as a turn or a miss

Ask for one sentence the child said or typed. A shrug or a muted hour is a miss.

  1. Ask at logout: "What English sentence did you say or type?"
  2. Write the sentence. A smile on camera without words is a miss.
  3. If the child only echoed a chorus, ask once for a new sentence.
  4. Stop after one recorded turn. Do not demand a performance.

A usable turn sounds like this: I put the book on the table. A chat sticker is not a turn.

Keep, move, or drop after two misses

Keep if a turn appeared. Move the hour if the slot itself caused the mute. Drop the next paid online hour if two hours stayed mute.

A smile on camera is not the pass test. If the child spoke once and then froze, keep the hour and ask the teacher to call that name earlier next week.
